Alchemist Seeking Submissions


A Message from Kathleen Plinske, President, Osceola and Lake Nona Campuses

The Alchemist, Osceola Campus’ magazine for literature and the arts, is currently accepting submissions for the 2016 issue. The Alchemist will be accepting submissions through Friday, April 1, 2016, and the editorial board is actively calling for your creative endeavors.

The theme for the upcoming edition will be “In Transit.” Works being accepted include:

  • Short Fiction: Do not exceed 3,000 words.
  • Creative Nonfiction: Do not exceed 3,000 words.
  • Poetry: Do not exceed 30 typed lines.
  • Graphic design, illustration or photography: It must be a digital file (submitted digitally) for consideration. Please do not submit a photo of a piece of art (it must be a scanned version of the art). Please note: all work will be published in black and white, so consider this when selecting your art.

Please email all submissions directly to Jenna Settles, librarian. Any genre is acceptable. Please include the title of the work, your name and your status (student, faculty or alumnus/alumna).
