Bicycles and Other Non-Motorized Vehicles Now Permitted on Valencia’s Campuses
ShareOur students and employees have a new way to travel on campus — non-motorized vehicles. That’s right. Bicycles, skateboards, scooters, roller blades and any other means of wheeled travel, excluding hoverboards, may now be used outdoors on any campus or at any other facility operated by Valencia College, unless otherwise posted.
As non-polluting forms of transportation and healthful recreation, these non-motorized vehicles are now permitted per a policy that was approved during the Wednesday, October 25, 2017, District Board of Trustees meeting.
Students and employees may use these vehicles on multi-use pathways and sidewalks in a courteous, responsible and safe manner. Please use caution for pedestrians, disabled persons and all property.
For more information, including a list of frequently asked questions, please view Valencia’s transportation webpage or the full policy.
