Congratulations 2017 Faculty Association Awards for Excellence Winners

Congratulations to the winners of the Faculty Association Awards for Excellence in Teaching, Counseling and Librarianship. The winners were announced at Academic Assembly on Thursday, August 24, 2017:

  • Andrea Bealler, counselor, dean of students, East Campus,
  • Diana Budach, adjunct professor, mathematics and instructional lab supervisor, Poinciana Campus
  • Andrea Foley, faculty, New Student Experience, Osceola Campus
  • Beth King, librarian, West Campus
  • Brian Murphy, professor, criminal justice technology, East Campus

The purpose of the award is to recognize faculty members who exhibit a strong teaching philosophy, proven by their portfolios, and who demonstrate an exemplary commitment to student success. Although each award recipient is different, they all share a common dedication to teaching and were each nominated by a student or colleague for their unwavering commitment.

Each winner received a plaque and $1,000, made possible by the Valencia Foundation.
