A Message from Terri Graham, Interim President, West and Downtown Campuses
The Downtown Campus recently partnered with the Parramore Education and Innovation District to host 50 incoming ninth grade students from ELEVATE Orlando and the OCPS Academic Center For Excellence (ACE) K-8 school for a tour of the campus. For most students present, this had been the first time they visited the campus.
Students visited the First Stop; watched a presentation about the campus on student living, recreational options and campus culture; heard from Transitions Planning about pathways to postsecondary institutions; and could select between learning about each of the following careers: healthcare, culinary and hospitality, or digital media and gaming.
Those interested in culinary and hospitality toured the Walt Disney World Center for Hospitality and Culinary Arts.
