Encourage Your Staff Members to Engage With the Valencia Staff Association

From participating in our new onboarding program, Valencia College Compass, to preparing our teams for the opening of the Downtown Campus, there is no shortage of ways to engage in the great work happening at Valencia College. One way that your team members can engage with the work is through the Valencia Staff Association (VSA).

Through the VSA, staff members can contribute to conversations regarding college governance, professional milestones and achievement, advancement and growth, as well as help encourage a culture of collaboration, service, scholarship and outreach. The VSA can also benefit staff members in various ways, such as:

  • Expressing appreciation;
  • Building community;
  • Exchanging information;
  • Engaging the community;
  • Supporting inclusivity;
  • Fostering growth and development; and
  • Being a voice for positive change and innovation.

Throughout the upcoming academic year, the VSA will continue to share upcoming events through the various college newsletters (The Juice and Campus Concentrates). Please encourage your staff members to get involved and/or share ideas for future events with their campus representation.
