Exciting Changes Coming This Summer — A New Way for Faculty to Register for Courses

An exciting change is coming this summer that will simplify how you search and register for faculty development and Teaching/Learning Academy courses — all faculty members will go to the Valencia EDGE in Atlas to search for, find information on and register for courses, as well as view their transcripts.

On Friday, July 1, 2016, Faculty and Instructional Development will move all faculty development courses, certifications and programs into the Valencia EDGE. A momentous move, this transition will faculty-insight-news-idallow you to access all of your development needs in one centralized location. You will be able to easily navigate and find information on courses related to the Essential Competencies of a Valencia Educator, peruse the Faculty Development catalog, review certifications and programs, as well as connect with a community of your peers.

The Valencia EDGE is the comprehensive, online system located in Atlas that is designed to help all faculty and staff with Employee Development, Growth and Engagement. This is the same portal that full-time faculty currently use to evaluate your performance and development; and all faculty members may use to access all Valencia job postings, including those available only to internal candidates; recognize a team member by sending a badge; collaborate with others to hire great talent; and/or register for collegewide employee development workshops and online sessions.

Be sure to check your email and mailbox in the coming weeks for detailed information and updates on the change. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please visit or call your campus’ Center for Teaching/Learning Innovation.
