Faculty Contracts to be Delivered in August and September 2018

On Wednesday, June 27, 2018, Valencia’s District Board of Trustees approved the issuance of annual contracts for faculty. Per our policy, Contracts for Instructional, Executive and Administrative Employees, Valencia faculty members, as well as executive and administrative staff, are provided contracts of employment.

All tenure earning and non-tenure earning faculty who were reappointed for the 2019 academic year and approved by the District Board of Trustees (DBOT) will receive their contracts via interoffice mail during the week of Monday, August 27, 2018, to each recipient in a confidential envelope. Two copies of the contract will be included. Recipients should sign one copy and return to Human Resources, Mail Code DO-21, by Friday, September 7, 2018, and keep the remaining copy for their records.

New faculty will appear on the next DBOT agenda and will be submitted for approval at the DBOT’s next meeting on Wednesday, September 12, 2018. Contracts for new faculty will be sent the week of Monday, September 24, 2018. These contracts will also be sent in a confidential envelope via interoffice mail to each recipient. Two copies of the contract will be included. Recipients should sign one copy and return to Organizational Development and Human Resources, Mail Code DO-21, by Friday, October 12, 2018, and keep the remaining copy for their records.
