Fall 2012 Student Assessment of Instruction

A message from Dr. Kathleen Plinske, Campus President, Osceola and Lake Nona

Students have received an email asking that they provide feedback about their experiences in their courses this term via CoursEval, Valencia’s new tool for student assessment of instruction (SAI). Students will receive a reminder email about completing their assessment of instruction every five days, and the deadline for completing course evaluations is December 16.

Please encourage your students to take the time to complete the SAI. One of the best ways to do this is to simply take time in class to mention how much you value your students’ feedback and that you’d appreciate their input to improve instruction in future semesters. You may wish to remind students that you do not see the feedback until after final grades are posted. Also, if you’d like to add a link to the Student Assessment of Instruction in Blackboard, you can find instructions to do so here.

If you’d like to check how many students have completed the SAI, click here and login with your ATLAS username and password.
