Honoring Sherri Dixon for Her Valencia Service
ShareBest wishes to Sherri Dixon, assistant vice president of auxiliary services and contract administration, who retired after 27 years of service. Sherri was celebrated by her peers at a farewell retirement gathering at the District Office on Friday, December 4, 2015.
“Sherri is my friend, colleague, and inspiration,” shared Jackie Lasch, assistant vice president, financial services. “She started as a part-time employee and became an assistant vice president. While working full-time at Valencia, she earned her associates degree from Valencia, went on to earn her bachelor’s degree, and finally a Master in Public Administration (in 18 months!). She accomplished all this while raising three kids and actively participating in her community, including being a founding parent of the Lake Eola Charter School in downtown Orlando. The contributions she made to Valencia are too numerous to list, but on a personal note, I knew I could always count on Sherri if I needed help.”
Your dedication, commitment and many years of service to the College and the students we serve has been significant. On behalf of all your colleagues, we wish you a very happy retirement.
