Introducing Laura Oldroyd, Executive Assistant
ShareA message from Dr. Kathleen Plinske, Campus President, Osceola and Lake Nona
You may have seen a new, friendly face on campus – Laura Oldroyd is the new executive assistant in the campus president’s office. Before joining Valencia, Laura assisted both the vice provost for academic affairs and assessment and the vice provost for University College at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Laura’s past experiences included managing external program reviews and accreditation activities leading up to Temple’s 2009-10 re-accreditation visit. She supported high-level academic searches, including dean and director-level searches, where she planned on and off campus interviews. Laura was the primary point of contact for parents and students who called the provost’s and president’s offices with concerns.
Early in her career, Laura worked for the Philadelphia Phillies National Baseball Team and was an intern for the Walt Disney World College Program. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the Fox School of Business and Management at Temple University in Philadelphia.
We’re happy she’s joined us at the Osceola Campus!
