Introducing Liz Suarez, Assistant Director of Employee Relations

From Michelle Sever, Director of Employee Relations

I am pleased to introduce Lisandra “Liz” Suarez Lopez, who joined Valencia as the assistant director of employee relations on November 26, 2012.

She joins Valencia with 14 years of experience in human resources, most recently in the timeshare industry. Liz holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration/human resources and has a Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification. She is affiliated with the Florida Diversity Council, and volunteers her time for community causes such as youth mentoring. Currently, she is in the process of obtaining a civil court mediator certification.

“My belief is people are the core asset of an organization,” Liz said. “People should not be managed but lead in the right direction and one-size-fits-all techniques may not work to address all situations. My role is to serve and be a bridge to ensure the best outcome in any matter brought to my attention.”

Whether you are an employee or a supervisor needing assistance with conflict or performance concerns, please feel free to call Liz at extension 8210.
