Women in Politics
Date: Thursday, November 9, 2017
Time: 1 – 2:30 p.m.
Location: West Campus, Building 11, Room 106
Professor of Political Science Adrienne Mathews will lead a discussion on the intersection of sex and politics. This interactive session will draw information and inspiration from a variety of media including TED talks, articles and current events.
Volunteer Opportunity – Autism Speaks Central Florida
Date: Saturday, November 11, 2017
Time: 6 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Location: Crane’s Roost Park (274 Cranes Roost Blvd, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701)
AVW is proud to volunteer with Autism Speaks Central Florida for its annual walk which aims to raise funds to support people with Autism.
Path to Leadership: Ana Caldero Figueroa
Date: Thursday, November 30, 2017
Time: 2 – 4 p.m.
Location: West Campus, Building 11, Room 106
Dean of Arts and Humanities Ana Caldero Figueroa will share her journey and steps along her path to success.
