Spanish Professor Translates International Documentary Trailer on Huntington’s Disease
Ana J. Caldero Figueroa, Spanish professor on the West Campus, helped translate a documentary trailer for the international film, “The Faces of Huntington’s Disease: I am No Longer a Faceless Face.” The film was created by WeHaveAFace.org, an organization founded to increase international awareness of Huntington’s disease through cinema. Huntington’s disease is a hereditary, degenerative, and terminal brain disease.

“Ms. Figueroa assisted us with translating the documentary trailer so that we could successfully engage our international community members,” said James Valvano, international operations director for WeHaveAFace.org.  “The trailer has now been seen in over 30 countries and the reach is growing each day.”

Compliments go out to Ana for extending her expertise beyond the classroom and into our international community.
