A Message from Kathleen Plinske, President, Osceola, Lake Nona and Poinciana Campuses
If you have been engaging in professional development through Faculty and Instructional Development, you may be closer than you think to earning certification as an Associate Faculty Member or Digital Professor. Certifications are a great way to deepen your knowledge and specialize in an area of professional interest. There is still time to take advantage of upcoming professional development courses and complete your certification this year. The deadline to apply online for the 60-hour Associate Faculty Certification or its 20-hour renewal is June 15, 2016, and Digital Professor certifications are awarded monthly. Upcoming courses offered at the Osceola and Lake Nona Campuses include Smart Classroom Technology, Service Learning Across the Curriculum, Building Online Learning Communities, and, if you are new to teaching at the Osceola or Lake Nona Campuses, OC 101: A Great Place to Teach.
You will find many more offerings, including online courses, on the Course Calendar of the Faculty and Instructional Development webpage. Please stop by the Center for Teaching/Learning Innovation on your campus for a consultation and more information, or contact Shara Lee, campus director, faculty and instructional development at email@example.com.
