Loren Bender Joins Valencia as Vice President of Operations and Finance

loren-bender-groveLoren J. Bender has joined Valencia College as the vice president of operations and finance. He has served in many financial roles over his 32-year career in the banking, manufacturing and hospitality industries. Most recently, he served as the vice president of finance for SeaWorld Orlando.

Loren obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tulsa and is currently in the process of obtaining his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Central Florida. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Loren has been married to his wife Mindy for 25 years, and they have one child, Noah, who recently graduated from Olympia High School and is heading to the University of South Florida this fall.

Loren will replace Keith Houck who retires in June 2015.
