Nominations Now Accepted for Faculty Association Awards for Excellence in Teaching, Counseling and Librarianship

faculty-award-banner-groveThe Collegewide Faculty Association announces the opening of the nomination period for the Faculty Association Awards for Excellence in Teaching, Counseling and Librarianship.

Nominations will be accepted until Friday, March 6, 2015.

The purpose of this Valencia award is to recognize five faculty members who have demonstrated effective and innovative teaching methods and a continuing commitment to student success through student engagement both inside and outside the classroom.

All faculty members, both full-time and part-time, are eligible. Nominations may be submitted by faculty, staff and students.

Nominees will be asked to submit a portfolio for consideration by a committee of faculty members who will choose up to five winners.

Winners will receive a $1,000 award, a plaque and recognition at the 2015 Academic Assembly.
