A Message from Kathleen Plinske, President, Osceola, Lake Nona and Poinciana Campuses
The Osceola Campus is in search of one to three faculty members to serve as student ombudspersons alongside the current ombuds, Professor of Computer Programming and Analysis Denise Ross and Professor of Speech Oscar Cuan.
Campus ombuds provide a safe, impartial space for students to privately discuss concerns or issues, help guide students through college systems and refer students to resources. Any tenured, tenure-track, or annually appointed full-time faculty member may serve. For more information about this position, click here.
If you are interested, please submit your name to Osceola Faculty Assembly President and Professor of Mathematics Lauren Thomas at lthomas106@valenciacollege.edu or to your dean. The deadline for self-nominations is Friday, February 19, 2021, at 5 p.m.
