Pasitos a Valencia Hurricane Relief Scholarship Fundraising Returns

To raise scholarship funds for students from Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and other Caribbean islands still affected by the 2017 hurricane season, Valencia is again organizing a community-wide fundraising event, Pasitos a Valencia.

The event will take place at the Osceola Campus on Thursday, November 29, 2018, from 6 to 9 p.m. Musical group Los Pleneros de la Central and Valencia’s salsa club, Latin Fire, will perform. Food trucks including Baby Taino’s and APPs will be selling food by the campus clock tower. All participating entertainers will donate their time and talent to the fundraiser. Primary event sponsors include The Hebra Group and Osceola County government.

Admission is free; however, the Valencia Foundation is asking for a donation of $5. To RSVP for the event click here.

If you are unable to participate in this event but still would like to support the efforts, please feel free to donate directly on the Valencia Foundation website. To complete the donation, enter the gift amount, select “Other” under the designation drop-down menu and enter “Hurricane Relief Scholarship” in the field provided.

You can also help those affected by Hurricane Michael by donating to the Florida College System by clicking here. One-hundred percent of the donations will go to the impacted colleges.
