Man’s best friend. Fur-baby. Pet. However you choose to classify them, dogs are undeniably a staple in many people’s lives. They’re always excited to see us and bring insurmountable joy into our lives. So imagine getting the news that your dog is missing.
This was Professor of Speech Patrick Bartee’s reality two years ago when he learned that his dog, Zoe, was missing. Devastated, Patrick continued to search for Zoe for an entire year with no luck. That is, until he received a phone call from the Southeast Volusia Humane Society two years after Zoe went missing, stating they had a dog that pulled up Patrick’s contact information when its microchip was scanned. It turned out that the dog in question was Zoe.
After two years, Patrick was reunited with Zoe.
