Supervisors Plan Ahead for Development at the Supervisor Summit

summit-collage-719-groveOn Friday, July 19, supervisors gathered in the CJI auditorium for the fifth Supervisor Summit.  This special event, held three times per year, is designed to provide an opportunity for supervisors to connect with their colleagues, and to learn, explore and discuss the latest tools and resources as they plan for their development and the development of their teams.

sliceTopics at this Summit included an overview of the new online leave system; the unveiling of the newly rebranded PIVOT leadership development programs, distribution of the classroom schedule of development opportunities offered though both Valencia EDGE  and Continuing Education, and an overview of the impact and implications of the PPACA (Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act).

If you missed July’s Summit, or would like a synopsis of all the topics covered, watch the video below.

Thank you to those supervisors who took the time to share their input through the Qualtrics survey, which is sent at the conclusion of each Summit. We are working to improve the Summit experiences based upon your feedback – and tailor these events to best meet the needs of supervisors.

We look forward to seeing all of you at the next Supervisor Summit to be held Friday, November 15, 2013, at the Special Events Center on West Campus. For questions, please contact Jenny Charriez, director of employee development, at or at extension 8250.
