ShareWe’re approaching an exciting time of the year for Valencia College’s Music department. Over the next couple of months, take in the sounds of Valencia with an array of genres including holiday, pop, jazz, 80s and 90s, and sacred and secular works. All events are free and open to the public.
Symphonic Band and Jazz Band Halloween Concert
Date: Thursday, October 31, 2019
Times:
- Symphonic Band: 12:30 p.m.
- Jazz Band: 1:30 p.m.
Location: East Campus, School of Arts and Entertainment Building, Outdoor Stage
On the outdoor stage of the School of Arts and Entertainment Building, Valencia’s Symphonic and Jazz Bands will bring a chill and a beat to the fall — in full costume. The groups are playing fun music to highlight the Halloween spirit, including music from the “Wizard of Oz” and “Phantom of the Opera.” The Jazz Band will present music from Stevie Wonder as well as some jazz classics. Please note that costumes are encouraged.
House Band Concert
Date: Friday, November 8, 2019
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Location: East Campus, Building 3, Black Box Theater
Valencia’s two House Bands will feature pop hits of the 80s and 90s. If you love the music of Billie Joel, ABBA, Bob Marley, Sting, Backstreet Boys, NYSNC, Mariah Carey or Nirvana, you won’t want to miss this concert.
Winter Choral Concert
Date: Thursday, November 21, 2019

Location: East Campus, Building 3, Performing Arts Center
This event will showcase performances by the Valencia Singers and feature sacred and secular works.
Holiday Concert
Date: Tuesday, November 26, 2019

Location: East Campus, Building 3, Performing Arts Center
The annual Valencia College Holiday Concert, featuring our choral and instrumental students, will come to the Performing Arts Center in grand fashion. During the concert, you will hear the choir and orchestra in collaboration.
Jazz Band Concert

Time: 7:30 p.m.
Location: East Campus, Building 3 (Performing Arts Center)
Valencia’s Jazz Band will be swinging fresh arrangements of pop tunes and jazz classics. Don’t be surprised to if you hear a holiday chart peppered into the program.
