VALIC is Changing Its Name to AIG Retirement Services

VALIC, Valencia College’s administrator of voluntary retirement and defined contribution plans, FICA alternative and special pay plans, is changing its name to AIG Retirement Services.

VALIC will be phasing in the name change throughout 2019. As a result, you’ll continue to see both the VALIC and AIG Retirement Services names and logos being used in both Valencia’s and AIG’s communications during the transition this year.

With this new name, the company is closely aligning with and leveraging the strength, scale and brand of its parent company, AIG — a recognized Fortune Global 500 leader with deep experience in retirement and financial services. As the company moves forward, its goal remains the same — helping you envision more when it comes to planning for the future. While the VALIC name is strong and well-respected, the AIG brand provides even greater recognition in the marketplace.

You can rest assured that you will continue to be served by the same caring team from VALIC, and the services offered to Valencia faculty and staff will remain the same. If you currently participate in one of our VALIC plans, please note that no action is required on your part. Everything that is in place with your account will remain the same.
